Since we are heading to tagaytay, my cousins and i decided to drop by island cove for a quick fishing and lunch, i got a trike but no hook up, it was a milkfih...to cut the story short while waiting for our food, we noticed something floating on the water which look like a dead fish, thought it was a tilapia or a lapulapu from afar, Image
a slight current brought it near to our cottage,

not sure what kind of fish it was since it my firt time to see this kind, seen puffer befor but a different one and smaller, for me it looks like a puffer but not sure, i noticed that one of its fins moved and the gills are still pumping, decided and told my couins to net the fish for its moving real slow...

after taking pictures, i release it and saw the fella dive slowly.

Guys, what exactly is this specie?

Cheers!

Hehehe We should take it to a Japanese Chef the next time! I heard that in some countries you need a license to actually prepare a dish made from puffer. hehe

FUGU, very expensive indeed. Tried it once before and it made my mouth numb.

They make daing out of these and sell them in the market once but pulled the government banned it since someone actually died from eating it. Most of the poison from Fugu is found in the liver and ovaries.
